What is the Sunflower Program?
The Sunflower is an internationally recognized symbol for non-visible disabilities. By wearing a Sunflower lanyard at the airport, you can let airport staff know that you may need:
- Additional time during airport procedures.
- Extra assistance or guidance.
- Support adapted to your needs.
The program is designed to help create a more inclusive and comfortable travel experience for passengers with non-visible disabilities.

The Sunflower Program does not provide priority treatment, expedited security screening, or special privileges.
Instead, it helps airport staff better recognize potential support needs and provide additional assistance when appropriate.

Where can I get a Sunflower lanyard?
Sunflower lanyards are available free of charge at YUL information counters:
- Door 4, Departures level.
- Door 27, Arrivals level.
Can I get a Sunflower lanyard before my trip?
Sunflower lanyards cannot be reserved in advance. However, Quebec residents may request to have a lanyard mailed to them by completing the designated online form at least two weeks before their departure date.
Can I keep my Sunflower lanyard after my trip?
Yes. The lanyard is yours to keep and may be reused on future trips. The Sunflower Program is recognized at many airports around the world. If you travel through another participating airport, you can generally continue using the same lanyard.
