2- Download the ArriveCAN application
Air travellers must submit their information using the ArriveCAN app before boarding their flight. This includes travel and contact information, a quarantine plan and a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment.
Travellers wishing to enter Canada must be able to provide their ArriveCAN receipt to a border services officer, who verifies that the traveller’s information has been scanned beforehand.
Travellers who do not provide the required information electronically before boarding their aircraft may be subject to an enforcement action ranging from a verbal warning to a $1,000 fine. Exceptions are made for individuals who cannot submit documents electronically due to a physical disability or inadequate infrastructure.

3- Book your screening test at the Montreal airport
After completing the border services process and retrieving their baggage, travellers must undergo another COVID-19 molecular test at the Montreal airport.
To expedite the process, all passengers (except children under 5 years of age) must register online before returning to Canada.
This registration process can be done several days in advance. Registrations can be made through the following site: https://info.biron.ca/inscription-yul
If the day of the flight to Canada is changed subsequently, passengers must register again.
Before leaving the airport, passengers will also receive instructions and a test to be performed on Day 10 of the quarantine.
4- Have a reservation in a hotel accredited by the Government of Canada for a stay of 3 days
After the test on arrival, travellers must go to the hotel they have booked for three nights to wait for the test result.
Click here to book your stopover at the hotel.
How to get to the hotel?
Passengers can use only their personal vehicle, take a cab, the hotel shuttle service to get to the hotel or Uber and EVA services.
Public transport are not allowed.
It is mandatory to go to the hotel immediately upon leaving the airport.
5- Arrange for a place to complete your mandatory quarantine
Passengers who test negative on arrival at the airport can leave their hotel and proceed to their quarantine site.
For connecting passengers, they will be able to take their flight to their destination and place of quarantine after their mandatory three-night stay at the hotel if:
- They tested negative on arrival and;
- They have an appropriate quarantine plan.
Passengers who do not have an appropriate quarantine plan will be moved to a quarantine facility designated by the Public Health Agency of Canada to complete the remainder of the 14-day quarantine.
NOTE: Travellers are not exempt from pre-entry requirements, even if they have:
• been vaccinated against COVID-19
• tested negative for COVID-19
• recovered from COVID-19
