Under Quebec's Tobacco Control Act, smoking is prohibited within 9 meters of every door or air intakes connected to an enclosed place, as well as everywhere inside of the terminal.
No-smoking areas are clearly identified and smoking areas are available and clearly delimited in the departures and arrivals drop-off zones. The same conditions apply for electronic cigarettes.
In order to ensure that the no-smoking areas are respected, inspectors with the Ministère de la Santé et des services sociaux du Québec will be conducting regular checks.
Offenders are liable to a fine of $ 250 to $ 750 and, in the event of a second offense, to a fine of $ 500 to $ 1,500.
